About the department Medical Affairs is a division of the Medical & Regulatory department, in charge of conducting medical and scientific discussions that guide the appropriate use of innovative treatments, including Novo Nordisk products. The vision of Medical Affairs is to enhance the lives of people with diabetes through credible medical and scientific dialogues and to ensure that Novo Nordisk's activities are conducted in an ethical and scientifically appropriate manner, thereby maintaining the trust and respect of healthcare professionals and patients. Medical Affairs comprises an office team of Medical Advisors and a field team of Regional Medical Advisors. If you are highly driven, results-oriented, and succeed in a busy environment, this could be the job for you! The position As a Regional Medical Advisor in Novo Nordisk (NN), you will: Drive medical strategy and provide support for plans to promote the achievement of planned events, aligning cross-functional business activities while ensuring compliance with the country-specific regulatory requirements and relevant legislation. Actively network with local healthcare interests in line with current and future business needs. Additionally, you will allocate 80% of your time to field based activities, while 20% of your time will be utilized undertaking office-based tasks. There will also be some travelling outside Dhaka. Provide quality medical and scientific support, education, and training across functions to the external customers, healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders, all while keeping in mind the needs of patients. Facilitate the development of symposia/meetings or education seminars for health care providers on subjects relevant to NN products/projects and delivering presentations at local meetings, symposia, and external conferences. Develop and maintain relations with customers and target local opinion leaders and major institutions in the local health care sector, building local credibility personally and on behalf of Novo Nordisk. Qualifications A Medical Graduate (MBBS) is required. An advanced degree in Health Sciences is preferred. At least 2 years’ experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, or managed care environment Clinical practice experience involving direct patient care is preferred. As a person, you grow in a setting with a high level of complexity and have solid problem-solving capabilities. You enjoy travelling and engaging with diverse groups of people for work.
